Euro Trip - the first week

Day 2

Cooler, cloudy day today. Feeling ok after quite a few drinks last night. I've even been for a 7km run around Battersea Park and along the Chelsea Embankment.

Kim's on his way home from work now and so we can get ready to go catch the Eurostar to Paris. I'll try to get some good photos of the country side but don't know if that will be possible at 300km/h. ;)

Very excited - I haven't been to Paris before.

Departure

Ok. I'm airside! Relaxing in the departure lounge with surprisingly few other people.

Check in was very easy, only a couple of people in front of me in line - I suppose that's what you get for being 4 hours early. The check in lady felt sorry for me with my manky eye (I have an eye infection at the moment) and gave me a seat with two vacant spots beside me. Seat 76A. I'll be boarding at 1525 from Gate 24.

Just a bit of trivia for you - the A380 aircraft I'm flying on is named after Bert Hinkler who was the first person to fly solo from England to Australia (in 1928).

Next stop Singapore for a fuel change. Might do an update then depending on how much time I have and connectivity may be an issue..

Only 2 days to go!

Only 2 sleeps to go until I take off on my Euro adventure! Getting very excited.
